With no testing available before the race, and having never been to the circuit before, Brett had only 15 minutes qualifying in which to learn the track! A disappointing P9 made for an already difficult soaking wet race, but a good start and some brave overtaking manoeuvres got him up to 5th, setting laptimes equal to that of the leaders. Improving weather and a drying line however put paid to his early pace, dropping to 7th where he remained to the finish.

A disappointing weekend, although understandable considering Brett’s lack of experience at the circuit, with his lowest points score of the season so far.
